Outstanding Performances at the County Sports Hall Athletics Finals
Back
We are delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our Year 7 boys, Year 8 girls, and Year 8 boys, who all represented the school with pride, determination, and exceptional sportsmanship at the County Sports Hall Athletics Finals held at Suffolk One. Reaching this stage was already a significant accomplishment, following impressive performances in the qualifying events earlier this term. Their hard work in training and commitment to improvement have truly paid off.
Throughout the finals, all three teams demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and the positive attitudes we strive to instil in all our students. Both the Year 7 boys and the Year 8 boys delivered consistently strong performances across a range of events, narrowly missing out on a top‑three finish. Competing against some of the strongest schools in Suffolk, they showed admirable focus and determination from start to finish. Their ability to support one another and give their all in every event reflects brilliantly on them and the school.
A very special congratulations goes to our Year 8 girls, who shone with an outstanding team performance to secure second place overall. This remarkable achievement makes them officially the second‑best Sports Hall Athletics team in the whole of Suffolk. Their success is a testament to their dedication, team spirit, and enthusiasm throughout the season, and we could not be prouder of what they have accomplished.
We are incredibly proud of all the students involved in this year’s competition. Their enthusiasm, respectful conduct, and commitment represent the values of our school at the highest level. Opportunities like these highlight not only athletic ability but also the strength of character and community that our young people bring to every challenge.
A huge well done to everyone who took part—you have represented the school superbly.
