The 2023/24 admission to secondary school application round opened on Monday 12th September 2022. Applications can be made online from this date: Citizen Portal: SCC Online applications
The application round closes on Monday 31st October 2022. Late applications can still be made after this date by completing an application form.
If your child is in their last year at a primary or junior school, you must apply for a place in Year 7 at a secondary school.
Decisions
If you applied online, you will be able to sign in to the Citizen Portal and see the decisions during the day on 1 March 2023. If you posted an application form, you will be sent a letter on 1 March 2023 by second class post telling you the decision
Secondary school admissions timetable for September 2023 Entry
- Round opens - 12th September 2022
- Round closes - 31st October 2022
- National Offer Day - school place decisions are made available - 1st March 2023
- Appeals closing date - 15th March 2023
- Appeals hearings - May/June 2023
- Waiting lists maintained for oversubscribed schools until 31st December 2023
