East Point Soapbox Racers

On 28^th September, the Beccles Soapbox Derby brought together creativity, engineering, and a healthy dose of competitive spirit. Among the many daring teams, our very own site team proudly represented East Point Academy — and they did it in style.

Their soapbox may not have been the fastest on the track, finishing in 15th place with a time of 1:02.97, but speed was never the main goal. Instead, they focused on craftsmanship and design, and that effort paid off spectacularly. The team took home the coveted “Best Looking Soapbox” trophy, proving that presentation can be just as important as performance!

The event was a fantastic celebration of teamwork and ingenuity, with plenty of laughs along the way. From the starting line to the finish, the atmosphere was electric, and our team’s entry turned heads for all the right reasons. It’s safe to say they were the most stylish competitors on the course — and possibly the most photographed!

Congratulations to our site team for their creativity, dedication, and sense of fun. They have shown that while speed thrills, style wins hearts. Here’s to more events that bring us together and showcase the incredible talent within our trust!
