Our Year 9 Students Made Us Proud at Suffolk Day 2025!
Back
We were thrilled to share that two of our talented Year 9 students, Naomi and Willow, represented our school at Suffolk Day 2025! After months of dedication to writing and rehearsing their proclamation, they proudly delivered it to open the First Light Festival on 21st June.
Willow started with a heartfelt tribute to Lowestoft. Students from Benjamin Britten and Denes High School then took their turn before Naomi closed the speech with confidence and passion. Their performance was a fantastic reflection of their commitment to this special celebration.
On 13th June, Naomi and Willow had the incredible opportunity to present their speech to MPs of Suffolk in Westminster. Alongside this, they enjoyed an exclusive tour of Parliament, immersing themselves in the historic halls and gaining valuable insights into the workings of government.
Their participation in Suffolk Day was a remarkable achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication and hard work.
