Leadership Update from Ms Austin
BackDear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to let you know that at Christmas I will be leaving East Point Academy to join another school within Inspiration Trust as Principal. I have enjoyed my time at East Point Academy immensely and feel proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past two years. We remain the top school in Lowestoft and Waveney for GCSE outcomes, behaviour and attendance. Our enrichment offer is top class, and our staff are the best around. Staff go above and beyond to provide an excellent education for the young people in our community and ensure they are safe and supported throughout their time here.
One of the many benefits of being part of an excellent Multi Academy Trust, like Inspiration Trust, is the wealth of talented staff it attracts which ensures our practice is sustained over time with leaders who know what excellence looks and feels like. I am delighted to inform you my replacement, as Principal, is an outstanding teacher who trained at East Point Academy and has supported the academy in recent years as a member of our Academy Committee – Mr Pete Seadon, currently Vice Principal at Thetford Academy. Joining Mr Seadon will be Executive Principal, Mrs Diver, currently the Principal at the outstanding Hethersett Academy. Together they will lead East Point Academy forward further still, ever closer to being the outstanding provider our community deserves.
Mr Seadon will be in touch in due course as he takes on the role from January 2025.
Yours faithfully,
Lucy Austin
Principal
