Schools celebrate sporting success at Champions Day

Young athletes from East Point Academy came together with more than 600 students from across Norfolk and Suffolk in a day of sporting celebration.

Teams from East Point, Hethersett Academy, Jane Austen College and The Hewett Academy in Norwich, Cromer Academy, Thetford Academy, and Great Yarmouth Charter Academy competed in the Inspiration Trust’s annual Champions Day on Tuesday, May 7 at the UEA Sportspark.

The teams showed off their talents in track and field events including individual and relay races, long and high jump, javelin, shot put, and discus.

“The day was a celebration of talented athletes from across the Trust, with some excellent performances throughout the day and a number of records broken.”
